Join me next Monday, March 10 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM for Soups, Stews & Casseroles for the Hungry Soul. The Repertory Theater in collaboration with Operation Food Search and St. Louis Magazine are throwing a 1970s themed event. Take part in music, art and comfort food tastings all to benefit Operation Food Search's child focused weekend feeding program, Operation Backpack.
If you've been following this blog for a while you may know that I'm a huge supporter of The Repertory Theater. The caliber of drama they produce is on par with theater in L.A. and N.Y.C and it's available to us right here in St. Louis. They are a non-profit themselves but year round they join with other local non-profits to make the St. Louis community better for all. Mark your calendar and join me next Monday for a great night.
Some of the event highlights to get excited about:
Comfort food tasting by chefs featured in St. Louis Chefs' Recipes-Volume II
1970s record spin by Rob Levy, host of KDHX radio's "Juxtaposition"
Live pancake art by artist, designer, cartoonist and rapper Dr. Dan the Pancake Man
Special display of retro 1970s kitchenware, courtesy of The Future Antiques
Tours of The Rep's Studio Theater and set for Soups, Stews and Casseroles: 1976 led by Rep Associate Artistic Director Seth Gordon
Participants will receive recipe cards for healthy (and delicious) Operation Food Search Cooking Matters® recipes
St. Louis Chefs' Recipes-Volume II will be available for purchase
1970s attire encouraged
I can't wait to bust out the platforms and wear some styles from my favorite decade! RSVP and view the event details here.
