The Midwest Influencer Network Quarterly Development Workshop
I recently had the priviledge of moderating and speaking at the first Midwest Influencer Network Quarterly Development Workshop held at the Regional Arts Commission. I was thrilled to lead a conversation on the craft of storytelling with three creative, talented industry professionals and flattered to lead a breakout workshop on content planning and strategy.
We spoke a lot about how blogging has transformed from text-based reporting to a visually rich medium based so much around creative collaboration, whether it be pairing writers and photographers or influencers and brands. Blogging for the first time ever is a valid and lucrative career option.
After the evening I was reinvigorated to get back to doing what I do best: creating. Whether it be writing music, blogging, taking photos or building relationships, the very nature of creating is what I have always been best at.
The evening also left me curious about what ignites other people, especially bloggers and fellow creatives. So I'm asking, have a you created a career out of blogging? Are you just starting out? What are some things that inspired you to take that road?
I don't talk about it a lot on this blog, but for my day job I work as the online editor for ALIVE Magazine and with that position I'm also able to work on several other projects including the Midwest Influencer Network. If you're interested, check it out. But more importantly, I'd love to connect with you and learn more about what lights your fire. Email me at TheDailyWild@gmail.com. Tweet me @RachelBrandt. Let's connect.
