The First Day of Fall

Today is the autumnal equinox marking the first day of fall and the transistion to winter in the Northern Hemisphere. My favorite time of year has officially begun. The leaves are changing and the air is cooling. The anticipation for the holidays and the first spits of snow never get old. The next few months are always a whirlwind of packed weekends for us, full of family time and special events. Just thinking about it makes me giddy. I feel so much like a kid again during the cold months and now that Tenn is here it makes me so happy that I'll get to share all of his "firsts."  First Halloween, first pumpkin patch, first Thanksgiving, first snow, first Christmas! It's almost too much. Happy first day of fall everyone!
